Community Forums Network (CFN) joined YouthForce University students and partner
Boys & Girls Clubs of King County for an informative time talking about solutions and real-life experience for young people in the job market during a forum Saturday, May 19th at the YouthForce University event.
We love the YouthForce motto:
Dream. Experience. Achieve. Work hard, win big with real working experience in the career of your dreams!
These young people are going after their dreams and career goals by learning practical job search skills and the value that a higher education degree plays in shaping their future. In addition to mentoring and teaching practical skills, YouthForce offers paid after-school and summer internships that allow these young adults to work with their mentors and build work-related experience.
YouthForce internship programs develop low-income and minority teens into self-directed learners, able to realize their personal and professional goals. YouthForce programs accomplish these goals through our unique ladder of internship programs.
In building consensus and finding solutions to young adult unemployment, we see youth development programs as an important part of that conversation.
We’re grateful for YouthForce leaders Shawna Boggie and Damon Martinez and the positive impact they have on thousands of kids in the Seattle area.
